Ms. Dees was the secretary at Rhyne while I was there in the late 60's. I will always remember and can still hear her say "Rhyne School" in such a soft and soothing voice when she answered the telephone. When I was in 6 & 7 grades, if Ms. Dees had to be away from the office I would get chosen sometimes to go answer the phone and mind the office. I am an administrative assistance for the county today and I credit Ms. Dees with being such an excellent role model not only in her chosen career, but as a person as well.

I was just talking last week about wonder where Ms Dees is to a friend. I went to Rhyne all the way to 8th grade. Ms. Dees helped me with a lot of problems. She was not only the school secretary, she was my best friend at that time. I always wondered about her........Oh yes, she will be missed. I hate I didn't get the opportunity to tell her how much she meant to me.

Mrs Dees was the secretary at Rhyne Elementary while I attended K-6th grade and even though that was 30 yrs ago, I have often thought about her. She was always so sweet and treated everyone with respect. Always smiling! My thoughts and prayers goes out to her family but what a beautiful Angel God has!

I am so sorry for the loss of Kay Dees. She was a valuable member of our community and especiallly of our school system. She was not only my first secretary as a public school teacher at Rhyne Elementary, but a friend as well. Rita was in our Girl Scout troop that Kay and I lead while I was at the school. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Linda M. Roberts
