Margaret Estalene Voorhis Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Estalene Voorhis announces her passing, on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the age of 87 years. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 68 years, Dr. George Voorhis and his children, Deborah (Billy), and George, Jr. as a completely dedicated wife, Licensed Practical Nurse, mother, minister's wife, and Christian woman. Margaret will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Christy (Brandon), Jennifer, and Bobby. Margaret is survived by 4 great-grandchildren, Lucy, Jackson, Ben, and Brody. She will be missed by her sister, Judy (Donnie) and brother Jerry (Rhonda). Margaret was predeceased by her parents Eva and Neil Melvin and her brother Buddy.
A celebration of Margaret Estalene Voorhis' life will be held on Tuesday, July 24th at 7:00 p.m. at the Central Church – with the Rev. Loran Livingston, Rev. Bobby Gilley, and Rev. Ken Bell officiating. Those who so desire to send flowers, may send them to Central Church, 5301 Sardis Road, Charlotte, NC. Heritage Funeral Home, Indian Trail Chapel in charge of arrangement, online condolences may be made at www.heritagecares.com.
