Steve Waddell Obituary

GASTONIA - Steve Waddell Sr., 65, passed away May 25, 2011, at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas.

He was born July 9, 1945 in Gaston County son of the late Donald Bane and Louise May Waddell.

Mr. Waddel was a member of Living Waters Tabernacle Church of Gastonia. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia officiated by the Rev. Kevin Summey.

The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Dallas.

He is survived by: wife, Cynthia Adams Waddell; sons and daughter in-law, Steve Jr. and Crystal Waddell, Michael Hundley, Daniel Williams, Jeffrey and David Waddell; daughters and sons in-law, Teresa and Jackie Lane, Kim and Mark Jackson, Deborah and Christina Waddell; brothers, Terry, Alan and Scott Waddell; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: brother, Randy Waddell; sister, Dana Waddell.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Steve Waddell Sr. Fund c/o Kim Jackson, 3258 Springfield Dr. Lincolnton, NC 28092.

Arrangements are with Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia.
