Twila Quetschke Obituary

Aug. 3, 1930 - Oct. 9, 2015

Twila Avon Quetschke, 85, died Friday, at the Regency in Albany. Twila was born in Burnt Woods on Aug. 3, 1930, to Archie and Emily McFarland. She was the youngest of seven children.

She attended school in Eddyville and married Virgil Quetschke in 1948. The couple had four children: Roberta, Art, Teri and Scott.

Twila was a homemaker and also enjoyed the outdoors - hunting and fishing were among her favorite pastimes. After all of her children had graduated high school, she took a job in the mailroom at Oregon State University.

Twila is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil, who died in 1991, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter Roberta Quetschke, son Art (Nancy) Quetschke, daughter Teri (Bob) Stephens, and son Scott (Sally) Quetschke; seven grandchildren, Brian, Chris, Tim, Kenneth, Justin, Charles and Adrian; and six great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Albany. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Twila's name may be directed to a charity of choice.
