Troy Dixon Obituary

Troy Thomas Dixon November 11, 1989 – June 8, 2013 Troy Thomas Dixon was born on November 11, 1989, in Portland, Oregon, the first son of Thomas Dixon and Mary Biagini. Troy moved with the family to Grand Junction in 1994, and attended Tope Elementary, West Middle and graduated from Grand Junction High School. Along the way he made may great friends and touched others in numerous ways. Troy had a big heart, great sense of humor and a passion for living life with enthusiasm. He was a trustworthy soul, loyal to his friends and family. Always sports minded, his first love was baseball starting with Little League and he played on through high school. His love of the game included working at JUCO for several years and then coaching a competitive team, the Cobras. Troy also loved the outdoors, skiing, Frisbee golf, hiking, and music. Troy attended both the University of Northern Colorado and Red Rocks Community College. He settled into the work world at Hightower Paint Supplies where he enjoyed the people he worked with and the work he was doing. Troy is preceded in death by his brother, Bret; his maternal grandparents, James and Theresa Biagini of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and his paternal grandfather, Robert Dixon of Bloomington, Indiana. He is survived by his parents and his brothers, Conner and Ty. A memorial service for Troy will occur on June 22, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at 3940 27 1/2 Road and a reception will follow at the church. Memorial donations can be made to the Challenger Baseball program through Home Loan Bank.

Troy was a great kid to have in the Northridge neighborhood.He was always friendly and enjoyed coming over to our house to spend time with "the girls". We were all so shocked and very sadden to hear about his death. Tom, Mary, Connor and Ty our thoughts, love and prayers go out to you. Troy will be greatly missed by all but not forgotten.
