Nada Jean (Bruington) Crabtree, a longtime resident of Skagit County reunited with her Parents and Brothers on December 13th, 2017.

Born December 2nd, 1940 in Atlanta, Idaho to Woodrow & Jessie (Daly) Bruington. She moved to Bow, WA with her family in 1945.

Nada attended Edison Grade School, and graduated from Burlington-Edison High School in 1959. She was known by her friends for always being "a lot of fun".

Following High School, she enrolled at Mt. Vernon Business School, and worked at the National Bank of Commerce.
Nada married James G. Crabtree in 1961 and moved to Custer, WA. She has four children, Mark (San Antonio), Wayne (Sedro-Woolley), Lori (Bow), and Todd (Custer).

They briefly owned and operated Delta Grocery in Lynden before becoming full-time farmers. Nada also worked at Milt's Market and Lynden Dept. Store Grocery in Lynden.

Nada loved horses, dancing, and playing the piano. She often had a vegetable garden and lots of flowers. She was an incredible cook and was well known for making the best scalloped potatoes and German Chocolate cake.

Following a divorce in 1978, she lived in Acme, WA., before moving back to the Skagit Valley which she always considered to be "her home".

Nada volunteered countless hours at the Burlington VFW, including keeping up their flower beds. She had a passion for Bingo, which was her favorite pastime in recent years.

Nada is survived by her four children, two sisters; Mary Thorene of Arlington, and Peggy Armbruster of Monroe, nine grandchildren; Kristen, Heidi, Ashley, Courtland, Nick, Emily, Amy, Arthur, and Misty, as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Nada was preceded in death by her parents; Jessie and Joe Fenton, and her two brothers; Tom and Larry Bruington, all of Skagit Valley.

In honor of her request, a graveside remembrance and celebration of her life will occur in the spring time at the Bow Cemetery.
