April Michelle Hankins Ezell CALLANDS - April Michelle Hankins Ezell, 23, of 1149 Cedar Rd., Ringgold, died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 16, 2013. She was born on July 7, 1990, in Danville, the daughter of Ronny Hankins and Laura Smith Hankins, and the stepdaughter of Joan Hankins. She was the granddaughter of Janice Wright Hankins and her late husband, James Hankins Sr., and Patricia D. Smith, and her late husband, Ted Smith. April Michelle was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her. April is survived her husband, Brooks Ezell; two sisters, Ashley Smith Trail of Callands and Amber Lynn Hankins of Danville; a stepbrother, Thomas Wilton Sellers Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Callands; nieces and nephews, Haleigh Dawn Sellers, Hunter James Trail, Christian Michael Trail, Alana Smith, Andrew Smith, Brandon Hankins, Bryce Hankins, Corben Hankins, Tyler Boyd, Zach Boyd and his wife, Shelby; as well as many more family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at County Line Christian Church on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Minister Dean Ashby and Minister Tim Maness officiating. Burial will follow at County Line Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Scott Funeral Home from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013, and other times will be at the residence of her grandmother Janice Hankins, at 16880 Callands Road in Axton. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Pittsylvania County Christian Service Camp, "Camp Pitt", 1232 Oxford Road, Chatham, VA 24531.
