Fannie Parrish Obituary

AXTON, Va. - Fannie Ann Wilson Parrish, 91, of 1968 Riley Farm Road, died Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. She had been in declining health for two years and in the hospital for eight days.
Born July 24, 1914, in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Wilson and the late Annie Bray Wilson.
She lived most of her life in Axton, was a homemaker, and was of the Baptist faith.
She was married to the late Lonnie Wilson Parrish.
She is survived by three sons, Neal Parrish of Brosville, Jimmy Parrish of Martinsville and Garry Parrish of Flint, Mich.; four daughters, Peggy Albright of Brosville, Shirley Carter of Axton, Evelyn Stover of Midland, Mich. and Linda Leach of Millington, Mich.; a half-sister, Flora Tickle of Providence, N.C.; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26 at Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with Pastor Janet McGhee officiating. Interment will be in the Parrish family cemetery in Axton.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel; at other times they will be at the residence of her daughter, Shirley Carter, 1728 Peach Orchard Road, Axton.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4504 Starkey Road SW, Suite 115, Roanoke, VA 24014.
Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
