Our Heavenly Father who art in heaven, called Ronnie Dean Baldwin to rest in his eternal home on March 8, 2022 . He was born on February 4, 1954, in West Grove, Pa., to the late Norma Rinehart Baldwin and the late Gailen McVey Baldwin.

Most friends and family called him Ron, known as "Ronnie D" to his wife, but having a unique voice, people often referred to him as Rocky or Rambo. He worked for various manufacturing plants in Danville and Pittsylvania County mainly as a equipment operator. He enjoyed cooking, loved landscaping, and their mountain tract. He also enjoyed woodworking, creative projects, westerns, country music, family ancestry (having an Indian heritage, which he was proud of), and he loved dogs and cats having many over the years. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Leaving to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Connie Lee Aaron Baldwin; two brothers, Melvin Baldwin (Veronica) of South Carolina, and Timothy Baldwin (Kara) of Arizona; three sisters, Darlene Kiefer (Kolin) of Pennsylvania, Cathy Baldwin of Colorado, and Terry Rotter (Richard) of Colorado; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial donations be made to SPCA of Pittsylvania County, P.O. Box 936, Chatham, VA 24531, or the Danville/ Pittsylvania County Cancer Association, 223 Riverview Drive Suite J., Danville, VA 24541.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday March 11, 2022, at Hillcrest Burial Park, Chatham, Va., with Dr. Hank Meadows and pastor Ray Lawton officiating. The family will receive friends at other times at the residence.
