Ruby Voss Obituary
EDEN - Ruby Durham Voss, 72, of 1620 Ashley Loop, passed away Friday morning, Aug. 15, 2008 at Brian Center.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 18, at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
A Rockingham County native, Mrs. Voss was born Nov. 25, 1935 to the late Walter Lee and Lulu Sutton Durham. She was a member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church and the Gold Star Sunday School class there. Mrs. Voss was retired from MacField, Inc.
Surviving is her husband, Jimmy Voss of the home; daughter, Susan Voss of Reidsville; two sons, Steve Voss and wife, Candy of Eden, and Mike Voss and wife, Donna of Ruffin; granddaughter, Delana Voss of Ruffin; grandsons, Brian Gibson of Greensboro and Joel Voss of Eden; sister, Myrtle D. Hayworth and husband, Norman of Randleman; and brother Phillip Durham and wife, Linda of Greensboro.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Stephanie Gibson; two sisters, Lily Sands and Mattie Corum; and three brothers, Robert, Burton, and William Durham.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, Steve Voss, 601 Ashley Loop in Eden.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 1611 Ashley Loop, Reidsville, N.C. 27320.

Dear Susan and family,
I am so so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I know that this time is extremely difficult. I just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and your family. I pray that time will heal your pain, I wish I could say that it does, but I haven't seen that yet, just do as I do, take it day by day, that's all we can do. I still miss my daddy so much, in fact I think that I miss him more today than I did yesterday. The pain is there, but some how God helps me get through each day but without him, I probably wouldn't be here right now. I pray that the memories you have of your mother will get you through these hard times, remember all the smiles and the laughter, no one can take away that. Susan, please call me and lets get together, I miss you. I just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and praying for you. I love you!!!
