Chris Hilla Obituary
H e was a pipefitter with local 439. Chris was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Glen Carbon, IL. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating. Chris will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfrid and Rose Hilla.
He is survived by his sister, Gayle (Alan) Schaake of Glen Carbon, IL; brother, Terry (LaDonn) Hilla of Olive Branch, IL; niece, Terianne Edwards of Glen Carbon, IL; nephews, Ryan, Brett and Dane Schaake all of Glen Carbon, IL; and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road, Glen Carbon, IL.
In celebration of his life, Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Glen Carbon, IL, with Father Dan Bergbower officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Cecilia Catholic Church and will be accepted at the funeral chapel. www.irwinchapel.com

Gayle & Terry, during my teenage years, I spent a lot of time hanging-out with Chris. He had a good sense of humor and would always say, or do, something funny. I remember sharing a lot of laughs with him. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your brother, Chris.
