LARRY FLOWERS Obituary

COOLIDGE, Ariz. - Larry Wayne Flowers, 46, of Coolidge died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, in Casa Grande Regional Medical Center. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at Valley Community Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Randy Levens officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park. Larry was born on Sept. 22, 1957, in Florence, Ariz. He was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of Trinity Fellowship of San Angelo, Texas, where Pastor Randy Levens is the pastor. He currently was attending Valley Community Church of the Nazarene in Coolidge, Ariz., where he resided. Freed from the bondage of substance abuse himself, Larry's life mission was to share the Gospel with people struggling with substance abuse and other addictions. His favorite statement was, "I've got to do what the Lord told me to." And he did. He was devoted to his family and was eagerly looking forward to marrying the love of his life and best friend, Karen Hess of Coolidge, Ariz. Their wedding was to occur in January 2004. Always excelling in academics, Larry earned four bachelor's degrees during his years at the University of New Mexico. His chosen profession was that of a truck driver. He enjoyed cooking for friends and family and loved carpentry work. He will be missed, but never forgotten. Survivors include his fiancé, Karen Hess; three daughters, Lovie T. Dominguez of Tempe, DeeAnne and Terrece M. Flowers of Coolidge; three sons, Richard Waller and Gregory Anderson of Coolidge and Trenton Morago of Phoenix; his mother, Lovie L. Hall of Coolidge; two sisters, Marilyn Thomas of Casa Grande and Evelyn Denise Thomas of Superior; three brothers, James D. Mathis of Tucson, William A. and Otis B. Thomas of Coolidge; his grandmother, Luria Mathis of Coolidge; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Flowers.
