WENONA ISAACS Obituary

ELDORADO - Wenona Enochs Isaacs, 91, our beloved mother "Mimi", of Eldorado, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 10, 2008. She was one of eight children born to Jeff and Myrtle Enochs. Wenona graduated from Eldorado High School and married her childhood sweetheart Ben "Junior" Isaacs on Aug. 30,1935. They had 65 wonderful years together until his death in 2000. Throughout their marriage they moved many times while Junior was employed with Shell Pipeline. After retirement they returned to Eldorado. Wenona was known for her vivacious personality. She developed many life-long relationships. Her "Can Do" attitude allowed her to accomplish any challenge that came her way, even into her late 80s. She saw a need for a chapel at the Schleicher County cemetery and wouldn't stop until it was a reality. Wenona was preceded in death by her husband, Ben; brothers Oran, Patton and Holvey; two sisters, Ethel Etheredge and Fae Belle Harzke; and grandson Ronald Mike Storie. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon and husband Ron Wicker of Kemah, Texas, and Shirley and husband Ronald Storie of Lubbock, Texas; four grandchildren, Rhonda and husband Kim Norman of Post Texas, Greg Storie and wife Karen of Lubbock, Renee Hale and husband Nathan of Friendswood, Texas, and Jeff Wicker and wife Cathy of Heath, Texas; nine great-grandchildren, Stace Norman and wife Kalyn, Steffi Norman, Jordan Storie, Sam Hollowell, Sydney and Shelby Hale, and Rylee and Dyson Wicker; brothers Tom Enochs of Eldorado and Buster Enochs of Eldorado; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, Cousins; and many special friends. Visitation will be 6 p.m. To 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Kerbow Funeral Home in Eldorado. Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, in Eldorado Cemetery Chapel.
