Phyllis Minton Obituary
Phyllis was a teacher at Grayson County High School and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church who enjoyed playing cards, running, singing, dancing, and spending time with her family. Her greatest joys in life were God and her grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Kenneth Ray Minton; her oldest son, Christopher Eric Minton, daughter-in-law Jill Minton and granddaughter Isabella Sophia Minton, all of Vine Grove; son, Jason Andrew Minton, daughter-in-law Ashley Minton, and grandchildren Nelson Reed Spaulding, Luke Andrew Minton, Catherine Elizabeth Minton and Alexander Thomas Minton, all of Cold Spring; daughter, Kimberly Anne Pennington, son-in-law Randy Pennington, and grandson Nathaniel Ray Pennington, all of Leitchfield; youngest daughter, Allison Suzanne Minton of Louisville; and her mother-inlaw, Coreen Minton of Clarkson.
She is also survived by her sisters and brothers, Rita Hodges of Clarkson, Martina Darst of Calvert City, Catherine Barnes of Elizabethtown, Janice Russell of Lexington, Tony White of Leitchfield, Joe White of Louisville, Ed White of Leitchfield; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy White and Lloyd White; and her father-in-law, James Vestine Minton.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leitchfield, with the Rev. Tony Bickett officiating.
A memorial luncheon will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Hall following the funeral Mass.
Phyllis's family would like to thank the countless students, teachers, parents and friends that she encountered throughout her 25 years as an educator for their influence, encouragement and all the lessons they taught her.

My heart and prayers going out to the family. I didn't know Mrs Minton but he taught both of my sons and they thought the world of her. Sorry for your loss. She will always be in our hearts
