Missoula —Alice Rebecca (Becky) (Smartt) Eamon

After a short battle with cancer, Becky joined her family in Heaven on June 12, 2017, at the age of 61.

Becky was the fifth of eight children born to George Madison and Alice Marion (Haggarty) Smartt. Becky was born on October 22, 1955, in Great Falls, Montana.

Becky graduated from C.M. Russell High School and attended the University of Montana. Becky married Bill Greely and had four children, William, Erin, Katie and Becca. Becky was also blessed with her grandson, Jamal.

Becky met the love of her life, Robert Eamon, at the University Of Montana College Of Technology in Missoula and they were happily married for 25 years. Becky truly lived her life for her family. Her children and grandson were her pride and joy.

For over 20 years, Becky worked as a clerk for the Missoula Municipal Court, where she made many lifelong friends. Becky always had an open door and an open invitation to dinner for her friends and family, and she fed many a starving college student on Sunday nights. Becky loved the Griz and she and Bob sold 50/50 tickets during lots of freezing-cold home football games. She was a true Griz fan! Seeley Lake also held a special place in Becky's heart and her childhood memories and family reunions at the lake were good times long remembered and treasured.

Becky is survived by her husband Bob, son William, daughter Erin, grandson Jamal and brother Scott (Kathy). Becky is also survived by her family with Bob, sons Rob (Karen), Duane (Danette) and Steve (Jamie); grandchildren Kyler (Jackie), Katie (Rick), Jared (Hollie), Shelby, Adie, Derek and Daira; great grandchildren Liam and Olivia; sisters-in-law Georgia Eamon and Donna (James) McNally; and, her many, many nieces and nephews.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents; daughters Katie and Becca; siblings, Matt, Mike, Ned, Stacy, Cyndi and Mimi; and, Bob's daughter, Gigi.

Becky's family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Patrick Hospital as well as Village Health Care Center for their kind and compassionate care. These folks are truly angels and we thank them very much. God Bless you all!

She was a very compassionate, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be forever missed.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier church on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Missoula Animal Shelter or to your favorite charity in Becky's name.
