Donna Eamon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice on Feb. 14, 2025.
Passed away peacefully on February 10th at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, after complications from a hip fracture suffered on Thanksgiving Day. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnson and Mable Stewart, who lived in Massena, New York. Born on May 10, 1934 in Winchester, Ontario, Canada, Donna graduated from Massena Central High School in 1952. She travelled to Anchorage, Alaska the next year to marry G.I. Douglas Eamon also from Massena, New York in February of 1954.
Donna and Doug have four children, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Son Brad and family live in Portland, Oregon, son Mark and family live in the Chicago area, daughter Lori in nearby in Venice, Florida and youngest son Todd and family in Katy, Texas. Her four children will be joining her husband Doug next week in a private celebration of her life.
Donna valued education, receiving her Associated Degree from the College of DuPage while in her late thirties and still raising children. She was a lifelong avid tennis and bridge player of noted accomplishment. She loved plants and flowers and took great pleasure and pride in their cultivation right up to the present. As the wife of a corporate executive who worked for Eastman Kodak Company, they moved many times throughout the years. Doug and Donna have fond memories of raising their children in Rochester, New York; Paoli, Pennsylvania; Birmingham, Michigan; Naperville, Illinois and Westport, Connecticut. They have more recently lived in the Venice, Florida area for the past twenty years.
Her family was her central love and passion. It is with both grief over her passing and gratitude for the years we had with her, that her husband Doug and her children announce their loss.
