Eleanor B. Kibbe

Eleanor B. Kibbe of West Hartford, Connecticut, passed away on January 24, 2026, at the age of 96. She was the daughter of the late Herbert C. Behnke and Clara W. Behnke.

She leaves behind her children: Allan S. Kibbe of West Hartford, CT; JoAnn L. Kibbe of Venice, FL (Donna DeLuca); and Diana E. Kibbe of West Hartford, CT.

She worked for many years as an executive secretary in administrative services for various Hartford area businesses including Aetna, Heublein, Inc., and Cooper Industries Inc., Arrow Hart Division until her retirement.

Eleanor was a kind and generous soul to those who knew her. She loved her animals and had many dogs and cats throughout her life. She traveled widely throughout the United States and abroad, including Mexico, England, Paris, and Germany (Hamelin and Berlin), her parents' homeland. Her favorite destination was Switzerland.

Eleanor was a member of Elmwood Community Church of West Hartford, where she served as a deacon for many years. She enjoyed attending services and working with her fellow worshippers.

Services will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family. Donations in Eleanor's memory may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
