Billie Sumner-Ruby Obituary

STOCKETT - Billie Lester Sumner-Ruby, 34, a foundation worker and roofer, died July 14 in an auto accident by the Sand Coulee cut-across.
His memorial service is 2 p.m. today at the Sand Coulee Fire Hall, followed by a potluck reception. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Danelle Snyder of Stockett; a daughter, Ashleigh Sumner of Stockett; sons Kendrick Ruby of Utah and Michael Snyder and Shawn Ruby of Stockett; a stepson, Kyle Snyder of Sun River; his father, Gayle Sumner of Great Falls; his mother, Sharon Ruby of Great Falls; half-sisters Tanya Sumner of Missouri, Leahnna Ensey of Great Falls and Lizzy of Washington; half-brothers Brian Ensey of Kansas and Tim of Great Falls; and grandfather Victor Herrald of South Dakota.
Billie is also survived by so many friends that it is impossible to name them all.
His life centered around his immediate family and racing pure stocks. He loved going on family fishing trips, sledding, hunting, barbecuing, swimming with his children, working on his race car with his father, brothers and family, and practicing Lakota traditions and spirituality taught by his grandfather spiritual advisor Victor Herrald Cetan O Hanko (Swift Hawk).
Billie will be missed by all whom he touched. Husband, father, son, friend, driver and warrior. We love you and miss you.

Billie will be missed by all who loved him. He was a great person. He would always find a way to lighten up a stressful situation. I am very sorry that I will not b there for the celibration of his life, due to a deployment to Iraq. His family, and loved ones will be taken care of by the rest of his family and friends. He touched so many lives while his short time on earth. Now is in a place that we have all dreamed of.
I Love and will greatly miss you Billie.
