Isabel Kriskovich Obituary

Isabel (Petrin) Kriskovich, 98, of Great Falls and formerly of Butte, died of natural causes Thursday at a local care facility.
The vigil service is 3 p.m. Sunday at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Butte, with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Butte. Visitation is an hour prior to the vigil and a half-hour prior to the funeral. Schnider Funeral Home and Duggan-Dolan Mortuary of Butte are in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter, Ritamarie (Gary) Campbell of Great Falls; two grandsons, James (Marty) Campbell of North Dakota, and Andrew Campbell of Colorado; a great-¬granddaughter, Kaycee Ann Campbell of North Dakota; several nieces and nephews; and her remaining sister-in-law, Mrs. Katherine Petrin of Butte.
Isabel was born Sept. 20, 1910, in Butte, Mont., to Matthew and Milka Petrin. She was raised with five sisters and seven brothers in the McQueen Addition, where she attended Holy Savior Church and School.
She did domestic work for a time, and then held a clerical job with the Meaderville Coal Co. before her marriage. She married Jacob T. Kriskovich on June 19, 1947; he passed away in 1965. In later years, she was employed as a shipping/receiving clerk for The Diana Shop in uptown Butte, and retired from there.
Her real vocation in life was care giving. She was diligent and faithful to the needs of all her family. This included the unexpected illness for 17 years of her youngest daughter, and her younger sister for many years after that.
Isabel was a member of the Sts. Philip & Jacob Lodge No. 175 of the Croatian Fraternal Union and a member of the Daughters of Isabella when she lived in Butte.
The family wishes to acknowledge its sincere appreciation to the owners and super staff of The Goldstone assisted-living center in Great Falls, for their six years of kind and loving care of Isabel; Park Place Health Care Center, especially the 500 wing staff, for her excellent care the last days of her life; and to Dr. Brice Addison, Mary Gray N.P., and Rhonda and Jan of the Great Falls Clinic.
In addition to her husband, Isabel was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Rosann; a great-grandson, Casey James Campbell; and all of her brothers and sisters.
Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of the Rockies, 3100 Harrison Ave., Butte, MT 59701; or The Goldstone, 5200 9th Ave. S. Great Falls, MT 59405

Rita(Krisco) and Gary,
I was so sorry to hear about you mother. Isabel was such a wonderful person and mother. I enjoyed many hours visiting with her, when I lived in Butte. God Bless you and know my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Rita and Gary,
Our deepest sympathy. It seems that the generation with which we all related are rapidly fading despite longevity. As you know, Phyllis Feeney (Dan's Mother) and Robert Emrick (Janet's Father) died in August and September, respectively. We don't like loosing them, but they are in a better place.
