Lisa Holland Obituary

Lisa Ann Holland

Great Falls —Lisa Ann Holland, 47, of Great Falls passed away March 18, 2014, at a local care facility. A Memorial Service will be held March 21, 2014, 2:30 pm in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Highland Cemetery.

Lisa was born August 2, 1966 in Sacramento, CA, and then grew up in various states across the country including California, Texas, Ohio, Alaska, and Montana. She graduated Great Falls High School in 1988, and was in the first class of special needs students that graduated from the high schools (GFH). Lisa joined Cascade County Aging Services when she was 19. She continued to work for them over the years as a dishwasher and a shredder. She was still working for them at the time of her death. Lisa joined Easter Seals over 20 years ago doing piece work. She was also still part of Easter Seals. She was waiting to get stronger to go see her friends and the Easter Seals staff again. She will miss them all greatly.

Lisa loved to bowl and was part of the Cerebral Palsy bowling league for over 20 years. She also loved Special Olympics and was currently a member of the Great Falls Hornets Special Olympics Team. Lisa participated in various events, basketball, track & field, bocce ball, and powerlifting. She also danced for the Orange Ballet Co.

Lisa never met a stranger. She made friends wherever she went. Her smile and energy would light up any room. She loved to sing "You Are My Sunshine". Each day you see the sunshine think of her, as she will be looking down on you smiling. We miss you baby girl! You are now free of the wheelchair and meds - welcome to your new home with Jesus, Mom, Dad, and the rest of our family. We love you!

Lisa is survived by sister, Pam (Ron) Underwood of Great Falls, MT; brother, Ken (Cheryl) Holland of Great Falls; nieces, Alyssa Holland, Kendra and Kayla Underwood; nephew, Tyson Holland.

Those who have preceded her in death are her parents, Ken and Ginger Holland; grandparents, Erma and Troy Holland; uncle, Rick Holland; cousins, Scott Jones, Shannon Holland, and Troy Holland.

Pam, Ken and your families;
I was so sorry to hear of Lisa's passing. I was her teacher in Great Falls right after your family moved there. She always held a soft spot in my heart. I'm living in Henderson, NV and had lost track of your family. My prayers and sympathy to you and your families. Sherry Halley

I first met Lisa while hanging out with my big brother Jeff and her brother Ken. I'll never forget watching the movie "Paranah" with her, Ken and Jeff. She was always such a sweet girl and gave the best smiles and hugs! May God be with you all during this time.

Pam & family, Ken & family. As you all know Lisa stole my heart away 41 years ago when we all started our friendship together in Fairbanks, AK.
What a beautiful picture, this is exactly who she was. Happy and so very very friendly. She will always have a special place in my heart. She is full circle now back with mom and dad and family. Love to all, Big Charlene.

Ginger was so proud of her and loved her as she did all of you . she will be missed dearly , but I know she is happy in the arms of your parents. My deepest sympathy, Tracey Flesch

Lisa will be greatly missed. I only knew her for a short time this last year in skills basket ball, but she was constantly smiling and could brighten any room. I will always remember her for that. My thought and prayers are with pam and family during this time.

I remember the day I met Lisa. You guys had just moved to the house two doors up from us. My sister and I came up to see if there were any kids our age to play with. That was the start of a wonderful friendship between our families. Lisa taught me more than you will ever know about life, Love, and friendship. We were all lucky to have her shining light in our lives.
