Phyllis Collins Obituary

PHOENIX - Great Falls native and Power High School graduate Phyllis Collins, 88, of Phoenix, a homemaker who enjoyed reading and embroidery, died of natural causes Sunday in Phoenix.
Services will take place at a later date.
Survivors include a daughter, Vickie (Mike) Carter of Phoenix; sons William D. (Gloria) Collins of Great Falls and John (Denise) Collins of Billings; a sister, Gerry Prater of Great Falls; a brother, John Thompson of Great Falls; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was born March 29, 1921 in Great Falls and was raised in Power, where she also graduated from high school. She graduated from Billings Business College and worked as a secretary in the Clerk and Recorders Office in Billings.
In October 1941, she married William T. Collins, and they enjoyed 66 years together before he passed away in 2007.
Phyllis enjoyed reading and embroidery and was a member of the Eastern Star in Billings.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William T. Collins; and a grandson, Scott Collins.
Memorials are suggested to a hospice care center of the donor's choice.
