Eunice Bruegge Obituary

Eunice Amanda (Schneider) Bruegge, 83, formerly of Morrison, died peacefully on Thursday, April 3, 2014, with family at her side. Eunice was born on August 1, 1930 in Maribel, daughter of the late Harry and Elsie Schneider. On May 26, 1951, she married the love of her life, Gerald Bruegge, at Lark United Methodist Church.

Eunice was a homemaker and helped Gerald on the farm with daily chores for many years. Eunice was also very active in her church throughout her lifetime. She was a good cook and enjoyed making food for her family and others, especially poppy seed torte. She enjoyed making plastic canvas craft items. She also enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers. Eunice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Mom was known for her good ears and 'holy cats'.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald, of 62 years; daughter Beverly (Terrance) Riemer, daughter Darlene (Mike) Smits, daughter-in-law Linda Bruegge, son Daniel (Gail) Bruegge, daughter Debra (Keith) Ott, son David (Kristen) Bruegge and daughter Becky (Gary) Oeder; grandchildren Amy (Frank) Riemer, Nate (Kathi) Riemer, Stephanie Smits (fiancé Ryan), Kim Smits, Jennifer Smits, Danielle (Jordyn) Pues, Brad (Nicki) Bruegge, Brian (Megan) Bruegge, Bethany (Andy) Carlson, Cory Ott, Kyle Ott, Emily Ott, Kristy Thirion, Aaron Oeder and Amanda Oeder; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by son, Dennis; sisters, Iris Ziemer and Norma Kuckenbecker; brother Rayfield; sister-in-law Rosella Allison and brother-in-law Jim Allison, and other family members.

Visitation at Larkwood Chapel (formerly Lark Church), 7019 Dickinson Rd, Lark, Monday from 2-6pm, with the funeral service at 6pm. Chaplin Michael Williams officiating. Burial at Lark Cemetery following the service. Family & friends to gather at Morrison Town Hall following the service/burial for food and fellowship.
