Michael L. Hermes, 44, Suamico, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012, in Los Angeles. He was born April 11, 1968, in Green Bay, to Mike and Connie (Klaybor) Hermes. Michael graduated from Premontre High School in 1985. He attended Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin Law School, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 1992. Michael married his high school sweetheart, Kimberly Demeny in Green Bay in 1992. He started his law career in Las Vegas in 1992 and returned to Green Bay in 1997 where he has practiced since. He survived Hodgkin's Disease in 1993 and this year founded Connect Inc., a Cancer Concierge to help others affected by cancer. As an attorney he was particularly proud of his team's ongoing work on the Fox River clean-up case.

He loved fishing, watching Packers and Badgers games, playing hockey, cooking, traveling, and enjoying good food and wine; he especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Kim and family: I learned of Mike's passing today from another high school friend. I knew Mike at Premontre and professionally since our practices over lapped. I enjoyed Mike's passion for practice of law and hope God puts him to work right away! I am sure that Mike's life will serve a model for his kids. Know that our family prays for you and are thankful for the time we had with Mike since our community is a better place because of him. Lovingly, Matt, Deb, Anna and Zoe Falk

Mike, Connie, Kim and kids, my prayers are with you all and for Mike, though I'm certain he is somewhere amazing. I only had the priviledge of knowing Mike as kids, but I'm certain to the end he was one of the smartest, kindest people I will ever have the honor of having known. Me may have competed, but always with the utmost respect and he was definitely the most gifeted. God bless Mike....always....
