XENIA — Thomas Grant McAdams, 77, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 after a long battle with heart disease. Tom was born on July 15, 1945 to Joseph William McAdams and Frances Arlene Broadstreet McAdams in Xenia, Ohio. After serving his country in the U.S. Army for several years, he started his long career with SuperValu and retired as Teamster after 38 years of dedicated service, mostly as a truck driver. In 1965, Tom met his wife of 32 years, Roxanne D'esterine Mochar, in Jeanette, Pennsylvania. Tom and Coke, as she was known, went on to have two children, Thomas Joseph and Michael William McAdams. In 2009, Tom retired and spent his time playing Wii bowling, smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee, visiting with friends and hanging with his wife of 23 years, Debra Kay Sparkman McAdams. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Frances McAdams and his wife, Coke McAdams. He is survived by his wife, Debbie McAdams, his children, Thomas J. McAdams, Michael W. McAdams, and Daughter-in-Laws, Barbara V. (Vicki) Burpee McAdams and Gracie Jane Tackett Ison; his grandchildren, Cassandra Elizabeth McAdams Vandermeir (Ben Vandermeir), Isaiah William McAdams, Jacob Grant McAdams (fiance Alyssa Willibey), Clarissa Audrianna McAdams, Joseph Michael McAdams, Gabriel Michael McAdams; great grandchildren, Benjamin Trenton Brough, Aiden Thomas Brough, Colton Nathaniel Vandermeir and Allison Elizabeth Vandermeir; brother, William McAdams, multiple nieces and nephews and many in-laws. Tom was a great Dad, Papaw, friend and mentor to so many people and will be greatly missed. No services will be held per his wishes.
