MILDRED SUMMERS MARTIN GREENSBORO Mildred (Mickey) Summers Martin passed away Wednesday, October 9th. Mrs. Martin was a loving wife, sister, aunt, mother-figure, and friend. She worked as a personal care assistant and served over 25 years as a foster parent. Services will be held Tuesday, October 15 at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro. Family hour from 12:30 to 1 p.m. with funeral service following. The family will receive visitors at the home of Barbara Slade. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband Robert Martin and her parents. She is survived by five sisters: Lorena Carter, Rosie (Fred) Donahue, Barbara Slade, Edna (Harvey) Pettiford, Shirley (William) Tate all of Greensboro. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
