Steven Greer Obituary
REIDSVILLE STEVEN POwell Greer, 62, of Reidsville, died Friday, December 5, 2014, at his home. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, at the mausoleum in Reidlawn Cemetery.A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Jesse Grover and Stella Dyer Greer, and had lived in Reidsville most of his life. Steve was a member of Faith Christian Church, a former member of the Reidsville Jaycees, a member of the Reidsville Elk's Lodge, a graduate of N.C. State University, the owner of Greer Recycling for over 30 years, and he was a member of the first Reidsville Rams Football State Championship Team in 1969.Surviving are sons, Brian Greer and his wife, Amy, of Reidsville, and Eric Greer of Reidsville, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.The family will see friends from 6 till 8 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2014, at Citty Funeral Home. The family will see friends following the service on Tuesday at Brian and Amy's home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
