When I was little he would always say "give me some paw" meaning a high five, which is also one of my favorite memories of us. He was a great dad and loved me and my brother very much. He was a clean freak and would always throw a fit when there was a mess, at the moment it was annoying but now I miss the soft deep voice every day asking to lay out my clothes and clean my room. I didn´t have very much time with my father being only five years but I love him and still to this day I can´t seem to move on. Yes the sun still rotates and the moon still shines but we all miss him. I love you dad and I feel that I didn´t say that enough. I wish you were still here to watch me succeed in all my favorite sports and school but though you can´t on earth I know you are in heaven. May you rest in peace in heaven and one day you won´t be alone there. Loveyour daughter, Maddie Jordan

Jason was one of those guys that after a few minutes, he was no longer a stranger. I didn't have the privilege to have known him long but was a great person to share a laugh with. My condolences go out to his family. RIP my friend, God Speed.

I am so sad to hear of Jason's passing. I had wanted to learn golf for many years now, and I'm so grateful I decided to sign up this semester and had the opportunity to learn from someone who loved the game so much. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I had the pleasure of having Jason work for me at Clemson for 11 years. It is obvious from the number of his current and former students who have posted on the guestbook that he made a real impact In his students lives. Jason was genuinely one the nicest people I have ever been around. Unfortunately over 11 years I didn't get to know much about Jason outside of his job. I can tell what I did learn was how much he loved his children and how proud he was of them. Everytime he and I would meet, the first thing he would share with me was a story about one of his kids. I know he will be missed by so many people. My heart goes out to his family.

Our ladies group learned of Jason's death right after we finished our round on that Thursday morning. We were as shocked and saddened as everyone else. All of us had gotten golf tips from Jason. He was the first person I met when going to Woodhaven for the first time and due to him I have been playing only there for several years. The improvements Jason has made with the course are nothing short of amazing. He will be missed by all. He died much too young and my deepest sympathies to his family and co-worker Scott. He leaves behind a legacy. He truly loved his profession and his Flyers club that we heard about. Janelle Merritt

My sincerest condolences to all his friends and especially the family. Jason Jordan was my golf instructor my final semester at Clemson, where I was a non-traditional engineering student (whose age was more inline with the teacher's), while also working full time in the evenings/nights. He had a calm and composed demeanor that translated well to a group of students. In addition to DRASTICALLY improving my golf swing/game, he truly helped me relax. I looked forward to those Wednesday afternoons, escaping the fluorescent lighting, basement laboratories, nauseating Calculus proofs and never-ending workload. I greatly appreciate the time he took to chat with me, talking about more than just golf. Breathing, relaxation, controlling pace - things relevant to golf, but also important to life, were just a few notable class topics. Individually we discussed how fortunate we were to be able to enjoy such a scenic view in such a special part of the country. Both of us grew up in Greenville so we'd chat about the changes and how the city has evolved. Those few hours in the middle of my week truly made a huge impact on me, an outlet I greatly appreciated but never properly expressed to him.
Everyone spoke affectionately of Jason and it was obvious he enjoyed both teaching and being around young, impressionable people. Jason always demonstrated characteristics of a worthy role model. In my small class we had a very interesting make up of students. While the majority was male, there were more than a handful of young ladies, and it was a multi-ethnic class. There were students from different parts of the country as well. I remember a young man from the Boston area and another from California having some great convo with Jason. Also in the class a young combat vet, who Jason shared an additional sense of camaraderie, and a young person battling cancer, whom was the recipient of encouragement from our engaged instructor. It was very evident that he truly enjoyed being around other people, offering help and encouragement in different ways while connecting to many people. Hopefully the example he set will resurface through the many people he impressed.
My thoughts and prayers to the Jordan family. Thank you all for sharing such a kind man with the rest of us.

We were heartbroken to hear of this loss. Our prayers are with the family.
Jason was a good friend with whom we shared many enjoyable times at the
golf course, hitting balls and having lots of laughs. He was also an
intelligent, thoughtful man who talked often of his love for his wife and
children. He was a gifted teacher, and so generous and patient with his
teaching. We will miss him deeply.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Jason's family. I got to know Jason during golf class this past summer. Our class was very small (just 4 students) so we were fortunate to receive a great deal of one-on-one time with him. Jason's love of g

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Jason's family. I got to know Jason during golf class this past summer. Our class was very small (just 4 students) so we were fortunate to receive a great deal of one-on-one time with him. Jason's love of golf and his passion for teaching us the game were inspiring. I will always remember the fun we had whenever Jason would take on the four of us in a game of captain's choice. :) As someone new to the game of golf, I had much to learn and am thankful for the wealth of knowledge he shared about the mechanics of the sport, and maybe more importantly, the way in which we should conduct ourselves on the course. Jason always inspired us to apply what we learned and to play our best.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Jordan family during this difficult time.

Where does one start. Jason's smile? His total honesty? His unwavering friendship? The list is enless. He was always helpful in anything you needed help with from airplanes to grass. Sports. Weather. He was always first to greet you at the flying field with an honest handshake and a smile. Eager to see what you brought with you that day to fly. First to offer help. Always said nice job. His laugh. You never know what someone really means to you or what they did for you until it's no longer there. I find myself hearing his voice every day in my mind. Sometimes it makes me chuckle. Other times sad. Bottom line is I will miss him. I am not alone. Everyone will. Let's go fly a turbine.

I was a student of Professor Jordan's this past summer and enjoyed playing golf and getting helpful tips from him. He was a very good coach and teacher and really took the time to invest in the students in my class. He would personally spend time with each of us and work on certain aspects of our game. As the semester progressed he would love to joke around with us and even found a few days to play a couple of rounds with us and teach us lessons that we could apply to life and not just golf. I won't ever forget having Mr. Jordan as a teacher and a friend. I send the family my prayers in this terrible time. God bless.

I took Mr. Jordan's golf class with Clemson PRTM during my first semester as a freshman at Clemson University. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and patient every session, and made me feel completely comfortable with a club in my hand. I was lucky to get to learn from such an incredibly compassionate coach. My thoughts and prayers are with your family; I'll think of him every time I pick up a club in the future and will never forget his love of the game and of the students he taught.

I'm devastated. When we moved to SC 7 years ago I knew no one. I met Jason at the flying field and he became the first friend I had in Greenville. We had a lot in common, both Air Force vets, model airplanes, golf and NASCAR. We flew models, played golf, talked Air Force, and relived every race. We spoke several times a week solving most of the world's problems. We always met with a hug and parted with a hug. I never dreamed the hug we had last Wed at the flying field would be our last. I will miss him dearly.

I am so sorry for your loss; I knew Jason from Woodhaven and from time to time we would meet up with him and play other courses as well. He helped me improve my game and was always willing to offer tips to help me improve or to keep from regressing. He was proud of his family and loved flying the model planes. We all will miss him but were lucky to have him for a friend. Rest in peace Jason...

Jason was a very welcoming person, always laughing, and ready to sneak in a few golf shots while working. He always had pictures of family and flying, both of which he dearly loved. He really enjoyed his work at Woodhaven Golf Course. We will miss him greatly, and are so sorry for our loss, because we grieve with you. He and myself had one thing in common besides golf, we really liked the C-141 aircraft we worked on. Praying for your family. My God comfort you all.

My wife Susan and I first met Jason at Georgia Jets. He was one of the first people to make us feel welcome. Jason made us feel part of the group, and we very quickly became friends. He would talk about his love for the hobby, but mostly of his family and about how proud he was of his children. I can remember the pictures he showed me of his son and daughter. Also, I was lucky enough to hear some of his stories of when he served our country in the United States Air Force, of which he was extremely proud. I will truly miss spending time flying and just hanging out with him at the fly-ins. He was a great guy and "Dad-burn" Great Jet pilot.
