Tom was my first art teacher in the late 1960s. He left a lasting impression on me and my art work, which is still ongoing in 2025. He was an energetic and kind, an excellent artist and teacher.

This time of year, Tom would rush in Maxie´s shop to stand by the heater. He entered the door smiling, often with sticks he´d collected on his walk through the woods. He´d stir through wood cut-offs and scraps as he selected the best he could use in his creations.
I will always remember his sweet disposition and kindness and his great laugh!

When I pass by "Tom´s house" I remember his winning smile, laugh and kindness. It was fun to see through an artist´s eyes the treasures he picked up on walks through the woods and the way he incorporated them in art projects. Still miss him.
