William C. "Chris" Marley

1957 - 2015

MIDDLETOWN – William C. "Chris" Marley, 57, of Middletown, RI, died Monday, January 12, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI surrounded by his family.
He was the husband of Donna (Davis) Marley.
Born on November 25, 1957 in Newport, RI, Chris was the son of Frederick Marley of Maine and Marianne (Fitzgerald) Marley of Newport.
Chris worked at the Newport Tent Company and also for the labor union 673. He was a member of the Viking Riders and the All Vets.
Chris enjoyed nothing more than the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Besides his wife of 27 years, and his parents, he is survived by his children, Chris Marley and his wife Carol and Tracey McGowan and her husband Michael of Middletown, his siblings Frederick Marley and his wife Cheryl Lee, Stephen Marley, Marianne Weibust and her husband Rick, Michelle Loffredo and her husband Ken, Laura Morris and her husband David and Andrew Marley, and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Marley and Kayla Marley of Freetown, MA and Christian McGowan, Matthew McGowan, Dawson McGowan and Brody McGowan, all of Middletown. He also leaves his brother-in-laws Jay Davis and his wife Lynn and Edward Davis and his wife Debra and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015, from 4-7 p.m. in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
His funeral will take place on Friday, January 16, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Memorial Funeral Home, followed by his burial in Middletown Cemetery, Wyatt and Turner Roads, Middletown.
