Darlene POPP Obituary
News Death Notice
POPP (nee Miller), Darlene Marie "QueenBee" Passed peacefully away on January 27th at Woodland Country Manor at the age of 72. She was born September 9, 1943, the daughter of Gustav and Edith (Barr) Miller. Darlene was the wife to her beloved husband Don Popp (Don Popp's Honey Farm). She also was a devoted mother to Roger and Tracy Popp and loving grandmother of Amber and Chelsie Popp, Ashley and Cody Geyer; cherished great-grandmother to Addyson, Willis, Araiyah and Taylen. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Shirley Miller; brother, Jim (Pam) Miller; and sister, Nancy Vonderhaar. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Steven; brother, Bill Miller; and brother-in-law, Lou Vonderhaar. Visitation will be held Monday February 1st 4-8pm at GracePointe Nazarene 220 North Miami St. Trenton Ohio 45067. Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday February 2nd 11am at the church, with Interment to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 10209 Plainfield Rd., Cincinnati Ohio 45241. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to GracePointe Nazarene, 220 N. Miami St. Trenton OH 45067. Condolences may be sent online to www.oglepaulyoungfuneralhome.com

I remember when Darlene was still able to attend the Butler County Beekeeping Meetings and she'd light up the room. She was such a great presence, wherever she was.

Don-You and the family are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. It has been a few years since I last saw Darlene, but it makes me very sad to see that she has passed. We have been friends for many years, since we were 5 and 6. I sit here today and recall some of the fun times we had together growing up. I'll always remember her as someone I can call my friend. She was such a sweet person and had a smile for others. You guys had many wonderful years together-55 plus. I hope that those many special memories will be a comfort to you in the days to come. Darlene truly was a "Queen Bee!" The memory of Darlene's kindness and positive outlook on life is an example to the way we all should live our lives. Knowing that she is with God and and that both are looking over you and your family will help you though the difficult times of separation from a loved one.
