Henry gave a lot of young boys many memories with his knowledge of baseball during his coaching years at Joyce Park. When I think of Lindenwald or my numerous baseball years growing up, my time with Henry is unforgetable. My thoughts and prayers are with Henry's family during this time of saddness and sorrow. I will miss Henry very much.

To all who knew Henry, especially his family: I grew up down the block on Freeman Ave. in Lindenwald. I remember Mr. George teaching the fundamentals of baseball in the late 50's at the park on the corner of St. Clair, River Rd. and Freeman. As I grew up, I remember Mr. George coaching the White Sox (60's)and Muskies(70's); with assistance from Pee Wee(Sammy), they were a great pair, always having fun at Hinkel's or Barney's. When I became a Hamilton Firefighter/Paramedic,(I finally knew him well enough to call him by his first name)Henry was a regular at the firehouses and the annual retirees picnic; always a welcome personality. Cape Cod's loss was our gain, thank God for Dorothy's female persuasion; we all were the recepients of Henry George's winning character and great personality. I will always remember him as a friend and coach (baseball and life). Bob Gallagher

Our Prayers and thoughts are with all of you. I remember Henry from my earliest days in Lindenwald Baseball and CYO sports. I dont recall any sporting events that he did not attend, as a coach, sponsor or parent/grandparent.

I'm sorry to hear of the passing
of Henry George. My sympathy to his
family. Henry was foreman of the Signal
and Alarm crew when I started with the
City in 1972. He always had a smile
and everyone enjoyed his
personality and work ethic. He will
be missed by all who knew him.
