Janet Toedtman Obituary


News Death Notice

TOEDTMAN, Janet Joebyna (nee Jones) age 77 of Lebanon, Ohio and formerly of Dayton, passed unexpectedly Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in Dodge City, Kansas from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Born September 13, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio, Janet was the daughter of Dennis A. and Hazel (Wellman) Jones, a graduate of Fairview High School and Whittenberg University where she earned her Masters Degree. Janet was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and a quiet faithful servant of the Lord and Resurrection Lutheran Church. Janet was an active member of the church participating in the Quilter's Team, the Interfaith Hospitality Network and the Wednesday morning Bible Study. Janet was on her way home from her final mission in Rock Point, Arizona where she had been teaching at the Navaho Lutheran Mission. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Richard and Thomas Jones and sister Patricia Hazen; Janet leaves behind her loving sons Henry (Theresa) Toedtman of Springboro, Sam (Mary) Toedtman of Fort Mill, South Carolina and Dean A. (Lori) Toedtman of Lebanon; brother Edward Jones; grandchildren Clayton, Collin, Kyle, Levi, Shelby, Jesse, Jacob, Lucas and Natalie Toedtman and many other family members, friends and neighbors. Funeral services were held at the Resurrection Lutheran Church Monday, April 19, 2010 with Pastor Harry F. Biles officiating. Burial was in the Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Centerville, Ohio. The family appreciates memorial donations directed to the Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1270 North Broadway, Lebanon, Ohio 45036.
