John Tapia Obituary
Recently JT took a trip to Las Vegas which he enjoyed the entertainment and the wonderful food. He possesses a lot of qualities, but one that stands out is that he was always a gentleman everyone that knew him loved him. He had a dream recently that it was snowing-beautiful snow and that made him feel like a child again.
JT had a wonderful life with his wife Maria, whom he lost in 2007. He leaves behind his five sons which he loved dearly and equally; Johnny Jr, Antonio, Mike, Alex and Ray. He also leave behind a legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
"JT we will miss you dearly", but we know that you are resting in peace in the arms of God.
There will be a visitation on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Home, Rosary and Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

As a child, I remember Mr. & Mrs. Tapia participating at various church functions/services and they were really nice people to know. I also attended elementary school with Tony. I'm truly sorry for the loss to the entire Tapia family and my prayers are with all of you during the difficult days ahead. Your dad/grandfather was a good man through and through.
