Stanley Rose Obituary

Stanley Anthony Rose, a Lemoore resident passed away on Friday, Dec. 28, 2007 at the age of 50 in a Visalia hospital with his loving wife and family by his side.

Stanley was born on July 20, 1957 to Louie and Laura Rose in Hanford. He attended Thomas McCarthy Catholic School graduating with the class of 1971. He graduated from Hanford High School with the class of 1975. Stanley married the former Cindy Avila on Sept. 14, 1985. They have been married for 22 years.

Stanley was an active member in several organizations. He was a past Grand Knight of the Hanford 3rd Degree Council of Knights of Columbus and a member of the 4th Degree Assembly, past president of the St. Rose-McCarthy School Parents Club, past president of the Hanford Celebration Committee, Hanford Fraternal Hall Association, Kings Fair Booster Club, Cabrillo Club, Luso American, IDES, UPPEC, UPEC and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Hanford where he served Mass at a young age as an altar boy and was an usher.

He loved traveling to the coast with his wife and family in their 5th wheel trailer where he enjoyed relaxing, barbecuing for family and friends, riding bikes and walking their dogs on the beach. He was well known for his expertise in barbecuing.

Stanley was a very generous and loyal man to his family and friends. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help out anybody with anything. His love, kindness and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Cindy of Lemoore; two sons, James and Jason of Lemoore; a daughter, Julie of Fresno and mother, Laura Rose of Hanford. He was preceded in death by his father, Louie Rose on July 24, 2000.

A viewing will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 in the evening with the Recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 2 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Hanford. A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 3 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Hanford.

Arrangements are under the direction of Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Services Chapel in Hanford.
