Vicky J. Shultz, 71, of Hannibal, MO, passed away at Beth Haven Nursing Home on December 27, 2025. She was surrounded by her husband and daughters. She was born on December 19th, 1954, in Blue Springs, MO.
Vicky was a graduate of Blue Springs High School. She met her husband, Van, and they married on May 18th, 1974. During Van's 20 years of service in the Army, they lived in several different states and twice in Germany. Vicky loved to learn about each place they lived and enjoyed exploring her new surroundings, wherever the family lived she always made it a home.
When Van's service in the Army ended in 1994 they family settled in Hannibal, MO. Vicky worked for Swiss Colony then Marion County Services for the Developmentally Disabled.
Vicky was very creative and loved to craft. She learned to sew and made dolls that were featured two times on the cover of Country Living Magazine. She painted, sculpted, wrote short stories, crocheted, and colored. She also loved to read and was always in the middle of a book.
Vicky was preceded in death by her parents Betty and Bill Duggins, and her sister Nancy Blair. She is survived by her husband, Van Shultz, and her daughters, Amanda Shultz and Katie Childs and son-in-law, Roy Childs.
No services will be help at Vicky's request, however we invite you to privately celebrate her memory. She requested that donations made in her memory be sent to the Northeast Missouri Humane Society in honor of Daisy, her beloved dog she hoped to meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.
Private graveside and burial will be held at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
