Barbara Jean Langley, age 89, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 4:43 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Township Senior Living in Springfield, Missouri. She was born December 8, 1935, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Lavone and Helen (Burk) Faeth.
Barbara married Kenneth Lee Langley on December 27, 1957, in Blue Springs, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2008.
Barbara was a 1953 graduate of Blue Springs High School in Blue Springs, Missouri. Barbara and Kenneth relocated to Aurora, Missouri, in 1960 where they built and operated the Aurora Bowl. They owned and managed several beef cattle operations in the Aurora area. Barbara worked in Banking starting as a teller and retiring as a Branch Manager. She was a Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed traveling in their RV. They enjoyed collecting classic Chevy automobiles and truly enjoyed the time spent with fellow car enthusiasts in the Classic Chevy Club of Springfield, Missouri, and the many others they met during car events around the country.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Karen Dalbom of Branson, Missouri; her son, Terry Langley and his wife, Lisa, of Springfield, Missouri; four granddaughters, Kaylyn Dalbom of Raymondville, Missouri, Alison Dalbom of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Olivia Hasselfeld and her husband, Bill, of St. Louis, Missouri and Caroline Langley and her fiancé, Dr. Riley Short, of Memphis, Tennessee; one great-grandson, William Wells Hasselfeld; one sister, Mary Ellen Tomi of Blue Springs, Missouri; sister-in-law, Linda Faeth of Blue Springs, Missouri; brother-in-law, Dave West of Stockton, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Lavone, and Helen; husband, Kenneth; brother, Larry Faeth and sister, Dawn West.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Blue Springs Historical Society in care of the funeral home.
