Aidan Blake Halter

HALTER, Aidan Blake The beautiful life of Aidan Blake Halter, beloved son of Eve and Dean, ended on Friday, (October 5, 2007). Aidan was born on June 7, 2005 in New Britain and lived his entire life in West Hartford. Aidan is survived by his parents and older sister Bryce, with whom he shared an incredible curiosity and wonder of all the things in the world. For him, everyday was a new discovery. His sister acted in many ways as his teacher and helper, and she delighted in seeing him wait at the front door for her arrival at home from school each day. Aidan would wait for his mother and father in much the same way, running around and yelling how much he missed each of them as they would come into the house. This young boy had a smile that was infectious, touching everyone he met. He spent his carefree days playing with his toys, learning new things, and teaching those around him as well. Like his smile, Aidan's laugh would light up the room; the air was often filled with these joyous sounds as Bryce and her "Little Guy" played with blocks or games. Fire engines, trains, construction equipment, planes, and trucks are things that capture the imagination of all young boys and Aidan was no exception. He and his family spent hours playing with toy trucks and machines, as well as watching videos and reading books about them. Even short car rides became an adventure with Aidan as he looked for his favorite things and counted the bridges the car would pass on the way. Aidan also shared Bryce's love for animals. They spent many an afternoon at the farm looking at all of them. Aidan would often play with his sister's collection of animal toys; her stuffed hedgehog was his favorite. Aidan was loved by all those who knew him, especially his mother and father and his sister Bryce. He is also survived by his grandparents, Marcia and Frank Maglisco and Kathleen and Clifford Halter; his aunts and uncles; and cousins. A Mass of Angels will be celebrated Wednesday, Oct. 10th, 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Timothy, 1116 North Main Street, West Hartford. Burial will be private at a later date. Calling Hours will be Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 136 South Main Street, West Hartford. Aidan you will be sorely missed, for the world was a better place with you in it.
