Alexandra Adams Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Alexandra "Lexy" Adams. She leaves behind her parents Kim and David Adams, sister Elly and much-loved family members, her aunts and uncles, Dolly and Pat Lapioli, Kate and Stephen Adams, grandfather Anthony Adams, and cherished cousins Theo, Tess, Cal, and Max. Born in 2004 and raised in Simsbury, Lexy was involved in many activities and sports. She was a Girl Scout and even at an early age showed a propensity for public speaking when provided the opportunity to give the troop speech at the bridging ceremony. She played soccer as a defender with her town and FSA teammates. She enjoyed rowing crew and running for fun in the River Run and Monster Dash. While on summer breaks, she spent family beach time in Cape May, NJ, Maine, and Cape Cod where she loved to boogie board, kayak, and eat lots of lobster and ice cream. She was lucky enough to have found enduring friendships, some of which lasted for over a decade. These friends describe her as caring, nice, smart, funny, and strong. Her deep convictions and opinions would lead to some lively discussions with her friends and in class. She touched many lives with her upbeat personality. Lexy was often admired by complete strangers who said after meeting her that she was quite impactful with how funny and nice she was and that "Lexy made my day." Thank you to her doctors, nurses, and the team at CCMC. Thank you to her friends and family who have provided support and help along the way. If there is one legacy in a short life, well-lived, it is that it was lived with strength and positivity. As Lexy would say in the morning on her way out for school, "It's going to be a great day!" Our hope is that her legacy will live on in her friends, family, and in all the lives she touched and that we live like Lexy and have a great day, every day. Lexy's services will be private; however, friends and family are welcome to view her Celebration of Life, streaming live, at Simsbury High School, 34 Farms Village Rd., Simsbury, CT on Saturday, December 3, 2022, beginning at 12:00pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance, CBTA, PO Box 370514, West Hartford, CT 06137, or Roaring Brook Nature Center, in memory of Lexy Adams, 70 Gracey Rd, Canton, CT 06019. I saw Lexy frequently at school when she would come through Attendance. She always had a smile for everyone and she would always laugh at my corny jokes. At the beginning of this school year, she told me about her trip to France over the summer - we talked specifically about Mont St. Michel, which we both had visited. I sent her a really lovely picture through email of the island with a comet overhead. Now whenever I see this picture, I'll think of Lexy. She was a really special person.

Please, from East Hartford feel the sadness and pain I´m feeling from the loss of wonderful human being! The world, although so Big And Complex and the nature of our human love has somehow crept into my aged heart . I truly believe there is so much more in
We do not know of our destiny . Lexi certainly left a path of hope, strength and purpose for all of us to copy ! I pray that as time passes your broken hearts and minds will heal with the memories of such a positive soul! You will see her again the Bible tells us so! Then it´s going to be a great day! Thank Lexi for teaching us that there is true power in youth and always an avenue to life success!!!
