Andrew N. Sandler

Andrew N. Sandler, 74, of South Glastonbury, died peacefully at home on Monday January 1, 2018. He was the beloved husband for 49 years of Francine (Frank) Sandler. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Abraham and Martha Sandler. He was a graduate of Weaver High School (1961) and UCONN (1971). Andrew was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was an Accountant his entire career. He was a former member of the former Beth Hillel Synagogue and was a current member of the Kol Haverim Synagogue in Glastonbury. Andrew was an avid golfer and loved his years in boating. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Besides his wife Francine, he is survived by his son Saul and his wife Heather of Glastonbury and two cherished grandsons, Joshua and Max, his sister, Lois and her husband Robert Vanesse of Tolland, a niece Elizabeth, dear cousins and many dear lifelong friends. A funeral will be graveside TODAY at 12pm, Wednesday January 3, at the Beth Hillel Memorial Park Cemetery, 15 Wolcott Road, in East Granby. Following interment the family will receive friends at Ann and Marvin Plaut's residence in Glastonbury. The family will receive again on Thursday at Saul's home in Glastonbury starting at 4PM.
