SEIDL, Andrew E. Andrew E. Seidl, age 78, passed away peacefully Wednesday (November 30, 2005) at his summer home in Lebanon, surrounded by his devoted family. He was the beloved husband of Helen (Noveck) Seidl. They Were married for 56 years. Andy was born in New Britain son of the late Joseph and Johanna (Buchte) Seidl. He attended local schools and graduated from New Britain Senior High School. Andrew served his Country during WWII in the US Navy in the South Pacific. He was a Lieutenant with the New Britain Fire Dept., retiring after serving 30 years of service. After his retirement Andy and Helen moved to Hobe Sound, FL. He was former member of Saint Mary Church in New Britain, St. Christopher Church in Hobe Sound, FL, and Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Lebanon. He was a life member of the VFW in Hobe Sound and a member of The Iwo Jima Survivors Association of CT. He was a retired member of The International Association Fire Fighters. Besides his devoted wife Helen, Andrew leaves three sons, Andrew J. Seidl and his wife Penny Hunt of Willington, John H. Seidl and his wife Carol of Winsted, Paul E. Seidl of Bristol; six daughters Christine Egri and her husband Paul of Lyme, Janet Sonstrom and her husband Ken of Hebron, Elaine Guyette and her husband Dennis of Mansfield, Joan Cruickshank and her husband Murray of Colchester, Theresa Verillo and her husband Tony of Bristol, and Laura Naumec and her husband Frank of Ellington; a brother John E. Seidl and his wife Terri of Newington; two sisters Anna Egri and Barbara Timko and her husband Joseph all of Kensington. He also leaves 22 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are asked to meet at Saint Mary Church Main Street, New Britain at 10 a.m. on Saturday December 3, to Celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery New Britain. Friends may call at the Kenney-Luddy Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Friday Dec 2, from 4-7 p.m.
