Ann Scott Obituary



age 85, of Scituate, MA formerly of Needham, MA passed away peacefully on February 10, 2016. Ann was the loving wife of 56 years to the late Robert C. Scott and the beloved mother of Kathleen Sullivan and her fiancé Jerry Taglieri of Washington NH, Elizabeth Shepardson and her husband Herb of West Hartford CT., Robert C. Scott, Jr. and his wife Leah, of Scituate, MA, Paul Scott and his wife Cindy of Uxbridge, MA, Gregory Scott and his wife Nancy of Hingham, MA, John Scott of Scituate, MA, Jeffery Scott and his wife Diane of Plymouth, MA, James Scott of Scituate, MA, and Matthew Scott and his wife Julianne of West Hartford CT. Ann was the loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren. Ann was the daughter of the late James and Anna Smith and the loving sister of Charles Smith of Quincy, the triplet sister of the late James Smith and the late Gerard Smith, the sister of the late Mary Davis, the late twins Rev. Richard Smith and Paul Smith and the late Ellen Richardson. She also leaves behind her many cherished nieces and nephews. Ann's unwavering passion for family, friends and the seashore were only part of her great legacy. Ann's strength and pride are forever instilled in all that she touched. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 at 10 am in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St., Scituate Harbor, MA. Visiting hours Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA. 02025. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Scituate. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Ann may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA. 02472.

On behalf of President/Chief Administrator David Eustis and the entire Northwest Catholic High School community, I offer my deepest sympathy on the passing of Ann Scott.

Ann's grandson, Keegan Shepardson '07, is a treasured member of the NWC community, so we mourn Ann's loss along with all who love her.

Please know that we will remember Ann and all her family in a special way during our daily prayers this week and also at our next school-wide Mass. We are very sorry for your loss.

Dear Betty and family,
We wanted you to know that you and your famioy are in our thoughts and prayers.
We have thought of you often over the past few days and are truly sorry for your sorrow and loss. We can only imagine what a lovely person your mother must have been by knowing you.
