Barry L. Newton II

1960 - 2021

We mournfully announce that Barry L. Newton, II of Manchester, CT passed away unexpectedly on July 18, 2021. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Newton-Therrien and her husband, Bert Therrien of Vernon, his father, Barry Newton of Ellington, his brother, Gary Newton of Ellington, his sister, Cindi Francis and her husband, John Francis of Winterville, ME, his daughter, Cassie Britton and her fiancé, Steve McKee of Manchester, granddaughter, Ava McKee of Enfield, his niece, Taylor Newton of Middletown, his aunt Connie Ryan and uncle Gary Ryan of Georgia, and several cousins. And a very special fishing buddy, Dan Dombroski of Middletown. Barry was born April 3, 1960 in Hartford, CT. He graduated from South Windsor High School in 1978.He lived a very fulfilling life, surrounded by his loved ones. One of his greatest passions was carpentry which landed him a career as a finisher at Modern Woodcrafters in Plainville, CT. There he was awarded the "Striving for Achievement" award for one of his projects. When he wasn't in the shop, Barry could be found on the ocean catching as many fish and trapping as many lobsters as allowed. There is no service currently planned. The family will reach out privately with a memorial date and time.
