CHADD, David Frederick
David Frederick Chadd, age 61, of Franklin, NC passed away Sunday, (June 30, 2013). Born in Hartford Co., CT, he was the son of Robert Allen and Thelma Eunice York Chadd. He was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Joan Marie Chadd. Mr. Chadd was a retired Captain with Fulton County Sheriff's Department and was a member of Macon/Jackson County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #81. He is survived by two daughters, Dawn Krupa and her husband John of Templeton, CA and Kimberly Chadd of Middletown; one sister, Nancy Potvin of Enterprise, FL; and two brothers, Robert Chadd and his wife Kathleen of Durham, and Jonathan Chadd of Franklin, NC; three grandchildren, Vincent, Jacqueline and Audrey and a number of nieces and nephews who were very close to David. He was surrounded by good and loyal friends who kept him in good spirits for which we are eternally grateful.
Memorial services will be held Monday, July 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Macon/Jackson County FOP Lodge #81, PO Box 12, Franklin, NC 28744. Bryant Grant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Dave we will miss you even thou we haven't seen you in a couple of years. I talked with you last year reminisced about our childhood in Middletown Ct. we did have alot of fun I still tell stories about that giant catfish I caught at the nuclear plant down river with you. To Bob and Robbie, sorry to hear of your loss. I new Dave when he walked the 'beat' in middletown. He was also one handsome devil on Cops. He always made people laugh, and cared more about the common man then anyone I knew. I will miss him, but I have his great memories. May he rest in peace because you know he's hamming it up somewhere.
