David Goldfarb Obituary

David Goldfarb of Boynton Beach, FL and West Hartford, died on Monday, (March 17, 2003) his 81st birthday. He was born in 1922 in Poland, the son of the late Malka (Korduner) and Joseph Goldfarb. A Holocaust survivor from the Ghetto Wlodzimerz Wolynsk, Poland he immigrated to the United States in 1946. He was a former owner of County Distributors, Inc., South Windsor. David and Sylvia have been lifelong members of the Emanuel Synagogue, West Hartford. He was an Associate member of Hadassah, member of Holocaust Survivors of South Florida and a member of American Gathering of the Holocaust. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sylvia (Anopolsky) Goldfarb; and his children, Michael Goldfarb and his fiancee, Donna Sherry, Shelley and Joel Spierer, and Ira and Jane Goldfarb; his sisters, Raye Kramer, Betty Shuch, Stella Klein, Sylvia Korduner; seven cherished grandchildren, Rachel and Josh Goldfarb, Eric, Adam, and Hannah Spierer, and Jill and Drew Goldfarb; and many nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by a sister and two brothers who perished in the Holocaust. A graveside service was held on March 19, at the Emanuel Cemetery. Shiva will be held at David and Sylvia's West Hartford residence through Monday with evening services. Donations in his memory may be made to the Emanuel Synagogue or a charity of donor's choice. Hebrew Funeral Association, Inc., 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford had charge of arrangements.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Goldfarb's passing . I would look forward to seeing him come back from Florida and come in to Quest lab .He always had a smile on his face and he brought a smile to mine.I will miss him . My condolences go out to his family.
