MOHAMED, Eric
Eric M. Mohamed, 18, of Manchester, beloved son of Mokhtar Mohamed and Catherine (Sarcione) Mohamed passed away, Saturday, (May 28, 2011) in Bolton from injuries sustained in automobile accident. Eric was born April 23, 1993 in New Britain. He currently was a student at Lincoln Tech. and worked at Highland Park store in Manchester. Besides his parents Eric is survived by his brother Adam Mohamed of Manchester; his maternal grandmother, Diana Durost of WV; his paternal grandmother, Tafida Mohamed of Egypt; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins in the United States and Egypt, as well as many good friends. Eric was predeceased by his brother, Samie Mohamed. "We will always carry your wonderful memories and beautiful smile in our hearts. You will always be loved, missed and be in our thoughts and memories forever". With all our love, mom, dad and Adam.
A Service of Remembrance will be held Thursday, (June 2), at 11 A.M. at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center Street, Manchester. Burial will be in the East Cemetery in Manchester. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Eric Mohamed Memorial Fund, c/o First Niagara Bank, 285 East Center Street, Manchester, CT 06040. Dear Mohamed Family,
We are all so very sorry to hear of Eric's passing (as we were of Samie's too). Samie and our daughter Rachel went to Highland Park School together. I remember Eric from when I was a substitute teacher and also volunteered at the events at Highland Park School. Eric was such a joy and always happy, greeting me with his big smile. He would wave and say , "hi Mrs. D". Keep those memories of your beautiful baby boys in your hearts now and forever. You now have two beautiful angels watching over you. To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;

baby boy, this guest book doesnt even begin to cover the amount of peoples hearts who youve touched. you were doing so well for yourself and everyone knew it. you were a beloved friend from middle school through highschool. you had a kind heart and put everyone else first. you and your brother were so strong and its so sad your family had to relive another tragedy. you are all very strong. we love you Eric, dont forget to look down on us all. you and Samie, rock the heavens <3

Eric was a beloved friend of mine from early middle school until now. We had many times together and I will never forget his amazing sense of humor and huge, kind heart. I had seen him 2 days prior to his death when he came into my job and we spoke and caught up about each other's lives for a good half hour. It is almost imaginable to me, that I could speak to him and the next day his beautiful life is taken tragically. Eric was a bright, determined young man with a bright future ahead of him, and my best wishes go out to his family. I can't imagine how devastating this loss must be. I didnt personally know Eric but from what Ive read he seems to have been a good kid.Im sincerely sorry that the Mohameds have to reopen an old wound and bury another child.I could never imagine the hurt they are feeling.My prayers are with you and your family.I hope time can heals the awful pain youve endured.It realy is one of the saddest stories ive ever heard and im sooo sorry for you.

I had the pleasure of having Eric as a student at Illing Middle School. We spent a great deal of time talking about his potential for future success and his desire to reach his goals. I was always impressed by his love for family and friends; he was truly devoted to both. I am deeply saddened by his passing, and for your loss. Words cant even express how I feel. I want you all to know that I will always carry a peice of Samie & Eric in my heart, as will the entire town of manchester and all the friends and family they have known. I feel so lucky to have known such a bright and happy spirted kid. I know he is with Samie and they are at peace now, no suffering, only love. Eric had such a wonderful personality, I only saw him with a smile on his face. Please know that your family does not walk alone, we are all with you, beside you and here for you all. Dear Moktar & Cathy,
Eric was a great young man with a big big heart. He was in kindergarten through 4th grade with my son Joe and after Joe left Highland Park, he would ask about how Joe was doing anytime I saw him. He was our paper boy and he would stop by and talk with Joe when he delivered the paper. I just saw Eric about a month ago and he seemed so excited about attending Lincoln Tech and learning about automotives. He was a light we will all miss. I am so sorry for your loss.
