Legacy of Greg Warren lives on at the FHS athletic fields, where he and Scott Zenke built the concession stand. Rest in peace, my friend.

I will never forget you; you were one-of-kind (emphasis on kind). You couldn't help enough people and you were so much fun to work with whether it was Little League Baseball or FHS Football. I'll never forget you. "Tom Bernacki (Farmington, CT)

Leslie and the Warren Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss and our loss of a person who had a profound impact on my life. Greg and I were friends in High School, at one point, the very best of friends, I'm proud to say. We played football together, shared our first Colt 45s and founded The 66 Club. His easy going, respectful and accepting demeanor (even at 16) is the model for treating others, I will never forget.

You're in my thoughts and prayers,
Chris Vann

To the Warren Family, We'd like to express our deepest sympathy for your family. Greg and I shared many an evening together coaching the Farmington girls in Little League. I only have the fondest memories of all the work we did together for the love of our girls, the Farmington girls, and the sport of softball. I will never forget all the laughs and beers that we shared together. Greg, although I haven't seen you for awhile you were always in my thoughts as I played the second hole on the Red course at Tunxis. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Warrens during this most difficult time. Tim and Jean Barth

Dear Leslie and family,

I only met Greg twice. He seemed a very special individual. I do remember back in the late 1980's, a call from you to Teri. She was not in, and we chatted about a couple of things while I was doing laundry. At one point while trying to fold fitted sheets the special way that Teri had, I complained about that. You told me not to worry, that Greg had the same problem too. Heh. I often think about that while folding laundry these days.

All my thoughts are with you and your family at this time. Greg was indeed a special person. Please take care of you and yours.

Much love.

I am saddened to learn of Greg's passing. We knew each other through the Farmington Softball League back when Greg was the first Commissioner of the league. He was always a great guy and I never heard him badmouth anyone or anything, though he may have had reason to. My deepest condolences on the loss of this terrific guy.

Hey, Les--

I just heard the news and there are no words to express what is felt in the heart. Love that guy! He was a rare and special person who will live on in the minds and hearts of those who have known him. He's in a better place---pain free and glorious. He and your dad can enjoy their reward together. The gates have opened: "Welcome home, good and faithful servant. Well done."

Leslie: Clyde forwarded the obituary. He's been keeping me up to date on some old friends, and I knew Greg had been battling cancer. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I've thought of you and Greg many times over the years, always with the thought we would get together sometime. The comments, "gentle" "laid back" "fun-loving" so fit the man we all knew 40 years ago. Although I don't know Tim or Kate, please let them know their father had many old friends and the "Chicken" will be missed.

Greg is one of the most genuine people I have met in my life time. He had a mannerism about him that made you smile and laugh in spite of the subject matter or circumstances. Greg was one of a kind; a truly good business men who knew his industry and looked out for his customers. Greg was the kind of man you always enjoyed “running in to and “chatting with; a knowledgeable man with a kind spirit and warm heart. He will be missed. Janet Calabro

Les, Katie & Tim,

I am saddened to hear about your loss. Greg was the Patriarch of what I've always considered Farmington's Coolest Family. I'll remember Mr. Warren as a laid back, fun-loving and gentle man. My fondest memory of Greg has to be the celebration he orchestrated at Katie's Wedding with Music and Firework show in the parking lot of the reception. He was such a proud father of his children and adored his amazing wife. May you find peace and serenity during this difficult time.
