Jacob Wexler

Dr. Jacob Wexler went home to be with his Lord Jesus on January 16, 2019. He leaves his devoted wife, Deborah (Boyce) Wexler, his special nephew, David A. Boyce, his son E. James Wexler and his love, Kellen Britt, his son Daniel Wexler with his sons, Sam and Oliver, his brother Allan Wexler and his wife Ellen, their daughter Bethany Wexler and her husband Aaron Gutman and their sons Alex and Adam, Caroline Wexler and her husband Dave Podolsky, their child James, his brother Mark Wexler and his wife Karen, their two daughters Jessica and husband Mike Newman, their two beautiful daughters, Ella Rose and Ava Olivia, Stephanie Wexler and her fiancé Anthony Martinez, and his best friend, of many years, Lester Richey, and his mother-in-law, Jeanne Santos Boyce. He was predeceased by his parents, David and Ethel Wexler, and his sister-in-law, Laurie Boyce.Jake graduated in 1970 from medical school at the University of Chicago. He interned at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, was resident in diagnostic radiology, also at Albert Einstein in the Bronx, and fellowshipped at Yale University and interventional radiology. He also served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force.A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26, at 12:00 noon at Olivet Baptist Church, 3762 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT. Calling hours will be from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the church, just prior to the service. Jacob's ashes will be scattered in his beloved state of Arizona.
