James Naughton Obituary

James Allen Naughton, 48, of Carter Hill Rd., Clinton, died Monday, (September 30, 2002) at his home. Jim was born in New Haven on Oct. 28, 1953. He was raised in East Haven before moving to Clinton 40 years ago; attended Our Lady of Pompeii Church in E. Haven, was a commercial fisherman on the "Gatherer" Vessel for Thomas Coley for 20 years. He will be truly missed by the family he so deeply cared for. He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Ellen Naughton and her fiance, James Ford of Clinton; his mother, Gertrude (Miller) Naughton; and Grandpa, Henry Rinsey of Westbrook; his brother, Robert Naughton and his wife, Barbara of Guilford; two grandsons, Dante Nathaniel Ford and Allan James Ford; two nephews, Robert Naughton, II and Sean Naughton; and a niece, Jenna Naughton. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Naughton; his father, Martin Naughton; and his brother, Michael Naughton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 4th at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 355 Foxon Rd., East Haven. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hamden. Friends may call at the Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main St., Clinton, Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jim's memory to the Clinton Family Youth Services, Glenwood Rd., Clinton, 06413.
