Johnny (and Louie) used to buy steel from New England Metal where I worked. That was over 20 years ago and I remember him well.
He was a true gentlemen and never had a bad word to say. Johnny always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye - a pleasure to do business with.
I wish you peace as you work through this - remembering Johnny with a smile will help.

Mrs. T and family - it was an honor to be next door neighbors with Mr. T. He was one of a kind, always happy to help me or my kids - Vinny with his car, me with the flooded basement...we could always count on his advice and helping hand. I will miss chatting with him in the yard, or waving to each other while shoveling out after a snow storm, or admiring the best kept lawn in the neighborhood. He was wonderful and truly the best next door neighbor ever! I will cherish his friendship forever.

My sons and me will miss Uncle Johnny more than words can express. He and my father were very close during the last years of my father's life. Uncle John made numerous trips with my dad to visit us in NY. My boys and I share many memories of Uncle Johny with my dad and Uncle Dicky. Uncle Johny was a precious reminder to us of my Dad, and my sons loved him so much. Uncle Johny knew he kind of took over where my dad left off. I am so thankful for having him in the lives of my sons when they were young, and as they have grown. We will miss him greatly. We are so sorry for your loss, Aunt Vi, Patty, John and Tom and the rest of your family. Please call on us if we can be of any help. With much love,

The Tortoro Family,
I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Tortoro for the last forty years. He always was a kind man and would constantly have a good story to tell. Mr. Tortoro highly valued his family and would always make anyone feel welcome at the family residence. Please accept my sincerest sympathy.
Sincerely,
