Kathryn Doherty Obituary

Kathryn C. Doherty, 83, of Beechwood Rd., Old Saybrook, died Saturday, (February 9, 2002) at Gladview Health Care Center in Old Saybrook. She was the loving wife of the late Charles L. Doherty; daughter of the late James and Catherine (Jeffers) Carey. She was born in Hartford on December 21, 1918. Mrs Doherty was a member of St. Johns Church in Old Saybrook, and past president of the Women's Club, also in Old Saybrook. She is survived by two sons, Timothy C. Doherty of Lenox, MA, and Richard L. Doherty of Dallas TX; and a daughter, Elizabeth Canavan of Old Saybrook. Also survived by eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. The funeral procession will leave the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook, TODAY, Mon., Feb. 11, at 10:45 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 a.m. at St Johns Church in Old Saybrook. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Old Saybrook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Old Saybrook Ambulance Association, 316 Main St., Old Saybrook, CT 06475.
